Mohegan Sun and Tesla jointly celebrated the opening of the Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) Showroom at Mohegan Sun， marking the advent of zero-emission vehicle sales within Connecticut.

The unveiling of this showroom equipped with a Sales and Delivery Centre took place on 20 December 2023， attended by stakeholders and future Tesla owners.

This sales and delivery centre is the first of its kind in Connecticut， enabled by the Mohegan Tribe's sovereign status， allowing for independent ordinances and governance.

The addition of zero-emission vehicle sales at the Shops at Mohegan Sun aims to promote cleaner air and improvements to residents' health. Additionally， the partnership involves expanding charging infrastructure at the location.

Jeff Hamilton， President & GM of Mohegan Sun， stated: “Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun， with a full sales， service and delivery operation， is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivalled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination. Operating hours for the Tesla EV Showroom are 10:00am to 7:00pm Sunday through Thursday， extending to 10:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors can explore Tesla's range of products and schedule demo drives of models like Model 3， Y， S or X.

Mohegan Sun and Tesla plan to deploy 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors across designated garages by Spring 2024， with potential expansion based on demand. This initiative aims to make Mohegan Sun a key charging hub for electric vehicles in the state.

These developments follow shortly after the reveal of Mohegan's recent Q4 financial results， showcasing growth across its operations， including digital gaming and its ongoing goal for diversification through initiatives like Mohegan Inspire.

Furthermore， David Fausel was appointed as Director of Advertising at the Mohegan Sun resort in April 2023， which then led up to the plan for Mohegan Sun to open a Tesla electric vehicle showroom that was officially announced in July 2023.
